Cathy was born and raised in Canada and upon moving to Colorado realized she could never live anywhere else. "My family is number one. My son, Lucas and daughter, Charlene, live in Canada, but Colorado is now my home. I hear from them at least once a week and see them at least once every year." Cathy loves to garden filling her flower beds with gorgeous color! "Colorado has a great climate for color - the best summers in the world!"

She has been a winemaker for over 12 years. Her passion for the wine industry drives her to attend seminars and wine tasting dinners to satisfy her hunger for knowledge in the industry and improve her vintner skills. Her favorite wine "The only wine" Cathy states proudly "there's nothing like a good Chardonnay for whites and I like a little Merlot from time to time."

Cathy's gardening skills complete the blend of a profession and home hobby. Her garden center at High Country Feed & Garden is renowned to have the best stock and service available in Southern Colorado. Her gardens in her Colorado Springs home draws crowds of attention as passer-bys stop to "smell the roses."
